"Conan Doyle's Estate Will Not Allow a Gay...
But even though a Holmes-on-Watson makeout is probably never going to happen, the owner of the U.S. copyright to Arthur Conan Doyle’s work wants you to know that if Guy Ritchie is ever tempted to make that a reality, she will totally lose it. Responding to Robert Downey Jr.’s joke on Letterman that Holmes might be a “butch homosexual,” Plunket said, “I hope this is...

giffenandco replied to your post: Yay! Thank you! G - Do you remember your first… How old were you when you discovered the W/H pairing? Oh, and as for your Grammar!Nazi persona (who would be a perfect beta-reader!), I have a bonus question, if I may…? :) What’s your favorite book(s)? It wasn’t long ago that I started devouring reading the Holmes books, so, I’d say I was...

Yay! Thank you! G - Do you remember your first OTP, if so who was in it I’m not totally sure of my first television show-OTP, but I can say with absolute certainty that my first book-OTP was Watson/Holmes. Even Arthur Conan Doyle ships it. ;P Also, I felt strongly about my ships for Anna Karenina, too, as I shipped Levin with pretty much anyone (by which I mean my made up thoughts about...

OMG Mystery started playing.
gently-tongued-by-stephen-fry: It’s kind of improved my mood. Mystery All my life has been a mystery You and I were never ever meant to be That’s why I call my love for you a mystery Different country You and I have always lived in a different country And I know that airline tickets don’t grow on a tree So what kept us apart is plain for me to see That much at least is not really a mystery...

they're finally engaged.♥♥♥♥♥all the hearts.
A television show has never made me this overjoyed and this despondent, simultaneously. Richard was especially asshole-y this episode, and Matthew especially swoon-worthy. I mean, did Richard think saying “Oh, don’t think I won’t go publish the scandal of your household straight away” would reflect kindly upon his character to make Mary want to stay with him? Also,...

Classic Who, 6x03. Episode 3.
Jamie: Hey Doctor, just me thinking, what happens if they get the lift going before we get to the top?
Two: Well, that's simple.
Jamie: What?
Two: We get squashed.

Some Classic Who (2nd Doctor) trivia that's come...
Tumblrer brigwife sent me an Ask, saying that Patrick Troughton/Frazer Hines put that hand-hold in themselves: “The Doctor/Jamie hand hold in Tomb of the Cybermen was unscripted, and Patrick and Frazer didn’t put it in until the actual recording, because they knew that they’d get reprimanded for it if they tried in rehearsals. Back then, once they’d recorded it onto film,...

Surprise Birthday Party
Not too shabby for a woman who hadn’t even heard of Doctor Who prior to a few months ago, when I posted a picture of a cupcake design featuring a Dalek to Facebook, eh? Needless to say, she got ALL the party hugs!. ;)

Terry Nation,
why do your stories have to be so great, but the episodes so painfully drawn out? D: The Daleks and Marinus serials both could’ve been shortened by an episode or two; they just slowly drag, though the stories are so wonderful and they should be fast-paced stories. I’m starting to feel the same way about the Daleks’ Invasion of Earth, though I have only just begun it.
