The 22nd doctor

I love knowing. // I'm not into history, but I love knowing what happened, who did what, what references can I make in my daily life. I'm not a poetry reader, but I love being able to discuss the notions of say, religion in Herbert's "The Collar." I will do virtually nothing with my knowledge of nuclear physics, or of simple harmonic motion, or of the manner in which plants perform photosynthesis, but, my God, I love knowing. // I also have this irrational demand that whomever I ask a question of knows the answer, or at least points me toward someone who does; I absolutely hate it when I ask a question to which the answer is "I don't know." Because neither do I. And I want to. //
I know I sound like a huge arse right there, but I'm honestly not. //
I have this obsession with all things British--it's been described as "unhealthy," and aside from becoming a doctor, going to England is my greatest, longest-standing dream--and I'm also a huge supporter of gay rights, in spite of my own conservatism. I intend to become a cardiologist, in case you're wondering. I love the medical field. I love to read--who else loved Anna Karenina, but hated Anna? Oscar Wilde is hands-down my favourite author. I love country music, as well as stuff from the 70s and 80s' folk singers/singer-songwriters. "Dead Poets Society" is my favourite movie, although I am not one for movies. TV shows are my thing--House, NCIS, Big Bang Theory, Doc Martin, the list continues. It's very time-consuming. (Joke. Hah. We all need sarcasm tags in our lives.)//
